Mother Tongue is about the stories of women whose identity has been altered or taken due to events of violence. Every full moon, the sisterhood emerges from the earth, desperate for their stories to be heard. They are not malicious or evil; they simply refuse to be dismissed and forgotten. The show is a mix of live music, spoken word, scenes, and movement borrowing ideas from ritualistic theatre practices and the horror genre. All music will be played and sung live, consisting of an original score composed for this show. The text will be a mixture of English and the native languages of the performers, forming an ancient chorus of women.

Violence against women remains a global and ongoing reality, often reduced to statistics or forgotten narratives. They are more than just some number; they have mouths, and they will scream.

From the moment Isabel (a Turkish international student who is a bundle of nerves, played by Nil Uzer) laid her eyes on Sophie (the most carefree, carpe-diem person you’ll ever meet, played by Chloe Payne), everything changed. Anyone who sees these unlikely people together would think they were best friends. But when feelings start to emerge, and boundaries get blurry, even music can’t save this sinking ship. Who to Call When the World Starts to Implode (and You’re Crying at Tesco at 11am) is a messy play full of music, ADHD fuelled word vomit, and a kiss that changed everything.

Thomas, Noah, Olivia and Archie come together for the death anniversary of their friend, Jake, who died in a car crash a year ago. But when an outsider arrives with a birthday cake, the evening takes a turn no one saw coming.

Stale Cake is a 55-minute emotional pressure cooker, written with the dark wit of a sitcom and the rawness of a confession. This is a story about holding on too tightly, letting go too late, and the uneasy truth that sometimes some friendships are not meant to last forever.

Uncomfortably funny. Surprisingly tender. Deeply human.
No matter how much icing you use, the cake still goes stale.
